Wassem’s journey with Sensible Edibles started in his childhood, watching his father launch a vegan & gluten-free wholesale bakery. Growing up around fresh ideas and ingredients, Wassem developed a deep love for baking.
While helping out at the bakery, he pursued his education, earning a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Manhattan College, and a Master's in Biology from Queens College. His master's thesis focused on the impact of pesticides in our crops, deepening his commitment to using organic and healthy ingredients.
With a solid understanding of the science of life, Wassem returned to Sensible Edibles, where he now oversees every aspect of the bakery. His story is a blend of family tradition, scientific expertise, and a passion for crafting delicious, healthy baked goods.
